Inga Orth’s memoir is not a straight line from beginning to end—it’s a mosaic of memory, resilience, and rediscovery told in her authentic voice. At its heart, this memoir celebrates the courage to break cycles, the grace of chosen family, and the joy of rediscovering yourself in community, farming, friendship, and love. It’s a book for anyone who has ever felt unseen, silenced, or burned out—and is searching for a way home to themselves.

A return to what matters.

I’m Inga Orth a fourth-generation dairy farmer, licensed Wisconsin cheesemaker, and co-owner of St. Isidore’s Dairy. For years, I shared stories of farm life on camera. What I didn’t share was how burnout, people-pleasing, and generational pressure nearly broke me.

Unpasteurized is where I get real.

This is my space to talk about healing out loud from family dysfunction, emotional exhaustion, and the unspoken expectations so many of us carry. It’s about learning to rest, set boundaries, feel our feelings, and build a life that actually feels like ours.

You’ll find stories from the farm, honest reflections from therapy, and tools for recovery and reconnection all served up with some good cheese and no bullshit.

Thanks for being here. Let’s figure it out together.
